Hyunjoo Lee, an M.D./Ph.D. student successfully defended her thesis in July 2006




Hyunjoo Lee, an M.D./Ph.D. student who has been in Kenn Albrecht’s lab since October, 2003, successfully defended her thesis in July 2006. Her thesis work involved the identification of genes with potential roles in ovary development. Hyunjoo is now returning to medical school to complete the M.D. portion of her training, and expects to graduate in May 2008. Hyunjoo has received several awards, including a Karin Grunebaum Foundation Cancer Research Fellowship and a Graduate Student Research Fellowship. The department congratulates Hyunjoo for completing her Ph.D degree requirements and wishes her good luck in medical school.
