Proteomics Facility Opens

We are pleased to announce the opening of a new fee-for-service proteomics facility in the Genetics and Genomics department at Boston University Medical Center. The facility will identify proteins in acrylamide gel slices using tandem mass spectrometry of samples of interest to individual investigators and analyze the results. Dr. Martin Steffen, M.D., Ph.D. and Assistant Professor of Genetics and Genomics, will direct the proteomics facility. Dr. Steffen was recently recruited to Boston University from George Church's lab at Harvard University. More information is available at the website listed below. An informational seminar will be given on Friday January 14, 2005 at 4pm in room E614 by Dr. Steffen. http://www.gg.bu.edu/proteomics/index.htm
